Historic building: "The Lambs" - "The White Lamb" - "The Pilsen House"

The building was built as a two-storey house in the first half of the 13th century as a part of so-called Havel Town. As first owner Mr. Schwach from Slivenec was recorded in 1416. In the period 1630-1784 the building was owned by members of the city council of Plzeƈ (Pilsen) which accounts for the alternative name "The Pilsen House". Since 1802 the house is referred to as a three-storey building with three living units.

The present-day appearance of the house dates back to 1839 when another storey and a classicist facade were added by architect J.J.Frenzl.

The building contains elements of a number of architectural styles: Gothic (Gothic cellars, semicircular portal and arcades from the 13th century), Rennaisance (a staircase, remnants Renaissance mouldings from the 15th century, Baroque (vaults), Classicism (main front with three axes). Remnants of the mediaeval fortification of Prague were found in the rear wing of the house.
